What RateFloor is

RateFloor is a client-side arithmetic tool that calculates a minimum freelance hourly rate based on numbers you provide. It runs entirely in your web browser. There is no server, no account system, and no data transmission. You are not entering into a contract by using it.

No warranties

RateFloor is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied. The calculated rate is a mathematical result of the numbers you enter — it is not financial advice, a guarantee of income, or a recommendation. Your actual rate should account for taxes, retirement, health insurance, and everything else your specific situation demands.

Not financial advice

The output of this tool is arithmetic, not advice. Consult a qualified financial professional before making decisions based on any rate calculation. The tool's accuracy depends entirely on the accuracy of the numbers you enter.

No liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the creators of RateFloor are not liable for any damages arising from your use of this tool — including but not limited to lost income, incorrect pricing, or reliance on the calculated rate for actual client work.

No data collection

RateFloor does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the tool's operator is domiciled. If you are outside that jurisdiction, you use this tool at your own discretion and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
